My name is Jackie and I live in South Florida. I volunteer at my local animal shelter for the past year twice a week, that is until the Coronavirus hit us all. They closed the shelter down mid March 2020. Only shelter staff are allowed to be there as of this point. I would help with both the dogs and cats, cleaning, playing, and generally helping all the animals stay healthy and safe. I loved it, I focused on the elderly, sick and ones that where there the longest. The shelter is still open thru allowing adoptions proceed with appointments only. I still check in with them 2-3 times a week thru their website and Facebook page. I just found another small shelter where I volunteer twice a week. Pictured are all the dogs & cats that I’ve had thru the years, I’ve always had at least 1 shelter pet usually a cat. In the past I’ve had my first stray cat named Lucky, then my first shelter cat Casper his brother was a miniature party Poodle named Buttons, then my first shelter cat Casper, then came a Snoodle named Spunky & a 1 eyed shelter cat named Rumple. Right now I have a 15 year old miniature Poodle named Shadow & a 1 eyed shelter cat Misty who’s 2 years old. I hope to have a few more of each in the future.
