Every 10 seconds in the U.S.A. a dog or cat is either beaten or abused. MILLIONS of unwanted homeless dogs & cats are born in U.S. every year. The national average for adoption is sadly only 10%. The most heartbreaking result of these statistics is that 800 dogs & cats are destroyed each hour in U.S., only because there aren’t enough good homes for them all. 6-8 MILLION dogs & cats end up shelters every year, 1/2 of them are euthanized. 1.4 million cats alone are euthanized each year while 3.4 million more are taken in by shelters in hopes they will not face the same fate. By adopting either a dog or cat from a shelter your helping them to reach the nationwide no-kill movement by 2025.
