The following is on all packaging: Every 10 seconds in the U.S., a dog or cat is either BEATEN or ABUSED. MILLIONS of unwanted homeless dogs & cats are born in U.S. every year. The national average for adoption is sadly ONLY 10%! The most heartbreaking result of these statistics is that 800 dogs & cats are destroyed each hour in U.S., only because there aren’t enough good homes for them all. 6-8 MILLION dogs & cats end up in shelters every year, 1/2 of them are euthanized. 1.4 MILLION cats alone are euthanized each year while 3.4 MILLION more are taken in by shelters in hopes they will not face the same fate.
